Progress

Hassiat is a non-profit organization with the motive of contributing to the literacy rate of Pakistan. So far Hassiat is going head to head with their plans. The main Plan includes Educational awareness campaigns in different schools and academies in Pakistan, Online Educational Awareness Webinars, Book Donations, Scholarships for deserving students, and free online courses for women in Pakistan. Hassiat to date successfully collected 70 books and distributed these books to 15 needy students. Hassiat also arranged an online event at Ahmed Science Academy for 9 and 10th-grade students on 25 Sep 2020 with the motive of providing them educational awareness. You can also check out the event video and pictures on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/hassiat.Everyfuturematters). We have also arranged an online webinar at Facebook upcoming week on educational awareness in which our guest speaker is Professor Samia Parveen ( M.Phil Biotechnology, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Quetta).

Challenges

  1. No Response:

At the start of the project, our circle was not getting too much response. We tackle this problem by marketing & advertising, use best and improved content, and conduct surveys for feedback to improve.

2. Difficult to motivate people/ trust issues:

We organize events, promotional campaigns online where we invite different motivational speakers and mentors to motivate people. We update people frequently regarding where we utilize their donations. We also get help from Al-Fazal School System and Care Foundation through their collaboration.

3. Collaboration:

Our group visited many schools for collaboration e.g Allied School, Westbridge School System, and American Lycetuff but no one ready to collaborate with us at the start so we overcome this challenge by making an elevator pitch for the HASSIAT agenda and finally Al-FAZAL School System and Care Foundation Collaborate with us.

4. Book Donation:

Our team members belong to different cities so collecting books and distributing them is a very huge task so we all overcome this challenge by contacting Hashoo Foundation, Care Foundation, and TCF Alumni Foundation. The Care Foundation finally collaborated with us in this book donation campaign. The Care foundation has distribution offices all over Pakistan so we will use their help to distribute books to needy people.

Changes

Although the approach of HASSIAT is the same as planned before. Due to fewer days remaining for the mega project presentation we just delay our free online courses for women program. Because it’s so much time consuming for all of us to make the best online courses and offer them online in much less time. HASSIAT is planning to offer those courses after the Amal Program and also plan to make HASSIAT a lifelong non-profit organization whose main motive is educational awareness and betterment of the educational system in Pakistan.

Sustainability of Project

We are arranging educational awareness programs on a weekly basis. We are also trying to collaborate with many organizations by reaching out to them physically and also by using electronic mails or social platforms. We all believe that if we really want to become a change maker we have to believe in three things:

  1. Empathy not Sympathy
  2. Don’t have to wait for donations, if we are genuinely enough, We are dedicated enough things will come.
  3. Collaborated Leadership: We are not leaders. The idea we produce does not belong to us, it belongs to the world if we are genuinely working on it.
