Vision

To decrease the dropout ratio and increase the literacy rate of Pakistan by making the citizens of Pakistan agents of positive change.

Mission

By facilitating education awareness enabling moral, spiritual, and intellectual enlightenment.

Values

Hassiat values are honesty, responsibility, and growth.

Problem Statement

Education these days has become a conspicuous thing as it includes the vast majority to participate in this issue. Moreover, it can’t be isolated from a human’s life. Currently, the literacy rate in Pakistan is 65% with males 69% and females at 40%. Weakness in the education system creates social polarization and frustration among the nation; snatching away the wisdom of thinking. The main problems which are associated with the educational system are lack of educational awareness among people, lack of quality education in remote areas, lack of implementation of education policies, No proper scholarships for poor people, distance — especially for females in villages, underprivileged areas, insecurity, poverty, financial instability, and high scale dropout ratio of children from education.

Hassiat

Hassiat is a venture that helps Pakistani youth in unleashing their potential by facilitating them through scholarships, Book donations, and also provide education awareness. The scholarships will be provided to poor and needy students in collaboration with a private school, collection of old books and supplies(bags, stationery) for poor people, motivational videos regarding education, educational awareness & skillful online courses (Ms office, Artcraft, skills, etc.) especially for females who have difficulty to travel distance all across Pakistan.

Timeline

1. We have to collect a minimum of 50 books by reaching out to people on a daily basis who can donate books before Sep 5, 2020.
2. To facilitate the education of at least one student by a collaboration of school before Oct 5, 2020.

Anticipated Challenges

1. No Response:

We will tackle this problem by marketing & advertising, use best and improved content, and conduct surveys for feedback to improve.

2. Difficult to motivate people/ trust issues:

We will organize events, promotional campaigns online where we invite different motivational speakers and mentors to motivate people. We will update people frequently regarding where we utilize their donations. We will also get help from other schools through their collaboration.

3. Scholarship not successful:

Most of the time people get scholarships and then leave education due to lack of interest. By screening students, who have spark and hard work capabilities we can minimize this risk.

We will also search for areas around our community and needy people.

Activities

Exhibit 5: Book Donation (Gift a Book Gift a future)

In Pakistan, there are currently 5.6 million primaries, 5.4 million lower secondary, and 9.8 million upper secondary school-age children out of school (UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS), 2017. A major factor is the lack of resources. We have taken an initiative in reducing the dropout rates by helping these students reduce their cost of education. Hassiat is taking a step where others can help us by donating any books that they don’t need anymore.

Help us in saving at least one future. Help us save Pakistan.

Exhibit 6: Donation

Alhamdulillah, we have collected 15 books so far for different classes from 5 to 12. We are collecting books from Quetta, Lahore, Peshawar, and Faisalabad areas where our teammates can easily reach. We are using Pakistan Post for donations outside these cities. We are also using social media platforms (Facebook page, Instagram) for our book donation campaign. The main challenge faced by us is that because we are a new platform so people usually don’t trust us, we are getting a low response but InshaAllah we will work hard to get a better response in the future. For the next 2 weeks, our plan is to collect as many books and also donate these books to needy people around us, our community, or in our families. We as a circle as a team give our hundred percent to achieve our goal InshaAllah.
